Trump Hollywood in Hollywood, Fla., pairs top-quality interiors with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean.

The sleek 40-story building boasts world-class residences and amazing amenities. Lush landscaping, an elegant and inviting porte-cochère, and a dramatic water feature make the property immediately appealing. According to Patrick Campbell, project manager for The Related Group, the project’s developer, the project’s extensive common area amenity package and the extremely high-end common area and unit finishes make this facility quite unique.

The spacious units feature flowing floor plans with impact-resistant floor-to-ceiling glass walls and sliding glass doors; oversized terraces; high ceilings; kitchens with custom cabinetry, granite countertops, top-quality appliances, wine coolers and separate pantries; bathrooms with imported Italian cabinetry and ample marble throughout; and much, much more. Common area amenities include a clubroom; a state-of-the-art fitness center; a breakfast café; a wine cellar and tasting salon; an elevated pool deck with a heated swimming pool, two spas and a reflecting pool; and 24-hour valet and security services. “Among the exciting features are two levels of oceanfront cabanas, seven suites at lobby level for sale to residents only as studios or guest rooms, and a mezzanine wine cellar,” said Robert M. Special care was taken in the project’s design to ensure all residents had ocean views. Swedroe said, “Since [our] firm designs from the inside out for optimal layouts, interior considerations generally take precedence over exterior in our designs. This presented challenges to our team because the client’s buildings typically emphasize exterior: the exterior facade had to satisfy the client as much as the living spaces. In other words, the ‘wow’ feature needed to be evident both inside and out.”

To achieve this goal, the design team configured the building with six residences on each level from floors five to 33 and four residences on each of the top seven floors. “Most importantly, all living spaces incorporate dramatic floor-to-ceiling glass curvilinear elevations that overlook the ocean, providing each residence a breathtaking panorama,” said Swedroe.

However, providing these amazing views was a challenge to the team, in part because of two older buildings that flanked the new tower on the north and south sides. This was overcome through skillfully angling the orientation of the units in order to achieve the critical view corridors, according to Swedroe.

This type of professional knowledge guided the project successfully to completion in June 2009. “We always describe the assembled project team as the ‘perfect storm,’” said Campbell. “The conditions were just right that enabled the project to bring together an award-winning developer, design teams and contractor.
